Job Description:

We are seeking a Director/Manager Financial Reporting in the Energy/Natural Resources industry. This role will be based in Houston, Texas, and will involve overseeing the accounting functions and financial reporting procedures within our organization.

Job Responsibility:

Lead the consolidation of financial data for accurate accounting and reporting across the organization
Implement and uphold financial reporting standards to ensure compliance and accuracy
Utilize Hyperion Financial Reporting software to streamline and automate reporting processes
Oversee SEC reporting, ensuring all financial disclosures are accurate and timely
Manage and develop leadership skills within the financial reporting team
Coordinate with various departments to gather information for financial reports
Analyze financial data and develop financial reports for management decision making
Ensure all financial reporting processes and procedures adhere to company policies and regulations
Continually assess the effectiveness of financial reporting strategies and make necessary adjustments for improvement
Maintain up-to-date knowledge of financial reporting standards and best practices in the Energy/Natural Resources industry

Requirements:

Possession of a minimum of 10 years of experience in the Energy/Natural Resources industry
Proven expertise in Accounting Functions and Financial Reporting
Proficiency with Financial Reporting Standards
Experience with Hyperion Financial Reporting software
Knowledge of SEC Reporting
Familiarity with Consolidations in financial reporting
Demonstrated Leadership Skills, including the ability to manage teams and projects effectively
A professional qualification in Finance, Accounting, or a related field is desirable
Excellent communication, analytical, and problem-solving skills
Ability to adhere to strict deadlines and handle multiple tasks simultaneously
Strong knowledge of financial regulations and legislation
High level of integrity and professionalism
