Job Description:

The Director of Event Management functions as the strategic business leader of Event Management, including the departments of Event Planning, Banquets/Catering, Event Service, and Event Technology. The position oversees the development and implementation of departmental strategies and ensures the execution of all property events with a seamless turnover from sales to operations and back to sales. The role focuses on growing event revenues, maximizing financial performance, and ensuring employee and customer satisfaction.

Job Responsibility:

Functions as the strategic business leader of Event Management
Oversees the development and implementation of departmental strategies
Ensures implementation of the brand service strategy and brand initiatives
Executes all property events with a seamless turnover from sales to operations and back to sales
Ensures the team meets the brand’s target customer needs
Focuses on growing event revenues and maximizes the financial performance of the department
Develops and implements property-wide strategies that deliver products and services to meet or exceed the needs and expectations of the brand’s target customer and property employees
Provides a return on investment

Requirements:

High school diploma or GED
4 years experience in event management, food and beverage, sales and marketing, or related professional area
OR 2-year degree from an accredited university in Hotel and Restaurant Management, Hospitality, Business Administration, or related major
2 years experience in event management, food and beverage, sales and marketing, or related professional area
