Job Description:

We are introducing an exciting opportunity in the Hospitality industry, based in LONG BEACH, California. We are seeking a Director of Finance to join our team, bringing their expertise in finance and accounting to our dynamic work environment.

Job Responsibility:

Oversee and enhance financial and accounting systems, processes, tools and control systems
Manage the preparation and communication of weekly, monthly and annual financial statements
Engage with the Food and Beverage team to develop performance measures that support the company's strategic direction
Lead the development and execution of an effective budget model and annual budgeting process
Implement and maintain a system of controls over accounting transactions to minimize risk
Collaborate with external auditors to ensure successful audit results and compliance
Develop and manage financial controls in accordance with the company’s procedures
Communicate financial metrics to senior management and provide advice on how to increase revenue and reduce costs
Develop and utilize forward-looking, predictive models and financial analyses to provide insight into the organization’s operations and business plans

Requirements:

Minimum of 5-7 years of experience in a finance-related role within the Hospitality industry
Strong proficiency in Accounting Software Systems
Demonstrated ability to manage and execute Accounting Functions
Prior experience with Accounts Payable (AP)
Proven expertise in Annual Budget planning and management
Experience in Auditing processes
Familiarity with Budget Processes
Proficiency in 3M, ADP - Financial Services, Concur, and CRM
Strong leadership and team management skills
Excellent communication and presentation abilities
Advanced analytical and problem-solving skills
Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, or related field is preferred
CPA or other relevant certification is a plus
Ability to handle sensitive information with discretion and maintain confidentiality
Strong understanding of financial regulations and legislation
