Job Description:

The successful candidate will take on a key role in overseeing procurement activities, ensuring effective supply chain management and maintaining compliance with financial regulations.

Job Responsibility:

Oversee and manage all procurement activities within the university
Implement effective buying processes and ensure adherence to budget procedures
Lead vendor selection processes, including data collection and analysis
Conduct contract management duties, including review and negotiation of terms
Ensure compliance with Federal/State sponsored research procurement activities
Utilize analytical skills for problem-solving and strategic planning
Leverage computer skills to set up document formats in Word, Excel, and other required software programs
Communicate effectively, both orally and in writing
Exercise independent judgment in decision-making processes
Demonstrate a deep understanding of public purchasing principles, practices, and procedures

Requirements:

Minimum of 5 years of experience in procurement services, preferably in the education sector
Proficiency in budget processes, understanding the financial aspects of procurement
Familiarity with buying processes, able to manage and streamline procurement strategies
Extensive knowledge in procurement, able to oversee and direct all procurement activities
Experience in supply chain management, ensuring efficient and cost-effective procurement operations
Expertise in purchasing management, able to lead and manage a team effectively
Understanding of purchasing procurement and its best practices
Knowledge of financial regulations, ensuring compliance in all procurement activities
Experience in contract management, able to negotiate and manage contracts effectively
Proficiency in analytics, able to analyze and interpret procurement data for strategic decisions
