Job Description:

We are seeking an experienced and strategic leader to join our team as the Director of Rebate Payment Operations. The Rebate Payment Operations team is responsible for administering the terms of the CVS Health PBM client contracts as they relate to drug rebates and rebate guarantees. The team executes the monthly, quarterly, and annual rebate payments for all our clients, per the terms and timing outlined in their contracts, and provides excellent customer service to both clients and client representatives, including large health plans with complex, custom arrangements and increased transparency.

Job Responsibility:

  • Oversee all payment reconciliation activities and daily operations, ensuring all client payments are made with 100% accuracy
  • track and manage deliverables and timelines each month and quarter, ensuring all payments are made by their contractual due date
  • lead a team of 12 professionals, ensuring the team has adequate access, training, processes, and resources
  • set strategic goals and expectations, monitor performance, and provide ongoing coaching and feedback to team leaders and personnel
  • ensure operational compliance with all policies and procedures, financial controls, and regulations
  • manage internal and external relationships to best service our clients, working closely with Sales and Account Management teams to provide clients with advice and solutions
  • resolve escalated inquiries and issues related to client rebate payments with efficiency
  • collaborate with key personnel and leaders from many other areas across the organization, including Manufacturer Rebates, FP&A, Accounting, Treasury, and Underwriting
  • support the transformation of our rebate systems and related processes, sponsoring highly prioritized projects in conjunction with day-to-day activities
  • identify operational improvement, efficiency, and productivity opportunities and drive implementation of appropriate strategies

Requirements:

  • 10+ years professional experience in similar operational or financial role(s)
  • 5+ years of leadership experience in similar operational or financial role(s)
  • Bachelor’s Degree in Finance, Accounting, or Business OR equivalent (4 years' experience and High School Diploma/GED) required

Nice to have:

  • Experience in contract administration or budgeting/forecasting for client financial arrangements
  • expertise with client rebate terms and administration
  • experience in a customer-centric, client-facing role
