Job Description:

The District Support Pharmacist (DSP) is responsible for delivering CVS Health's mission of helping people on their path to better health. This includes ensuring safe and accurate prescription fulfillment, coaching pharmacy team members, maintaining clinical knowledge, bringing innovative care to patients, and ensuring compliance with laws, regulations, and company policies. The role requires traveling across the district for scheduling gaps and managing pharmacy operations.

Job Responsibility:

Living our purpose by helping to manage and improve patient health through safe and appropriate dispensing, counseling, and immunizing practices
Traveling the district to fill pharmacist shifts as scheduled by the District Performance Coordinator (DPC)
Supporting safe and accurate prescription fulfillment by following—and directing the pharmacy team to follow—pharmacy workflow procedures
Contributing to positive patient experiences
Proactively offering and delivering immunizations
Supporting the effective management of pharmacy inventory
Remaining flexible for both scheduling and business needs
Maintaining relevant clinical and technical skills
Supporting access to care and helping to improve patient outcomes
Understanding and complying with all relevant federal and state laws, regulations, professional standards, and ethical principles

Requirements:

Active Pharmacist License in the state where the Store is located
Active National Provider Identifier (NPI)
Not on the DEA Excluded Parties list
1-2 years of related work experience in a pharmacy, retail, medical, or customer service setting
