Job Description:

CVS Health is recruiting for a District Support Pharmacist to provide quality care and leadership within retail pharmacy settings. The position involves delivering healthcare solutions, ensuring compliance with regulations, supporting pharmacy operations, and fostering positive patient and team experiences.

Job Responsibility:

Living our purpose by helping to manage and improve patient health through safe and appropriate dispensing, counseling, and immunizing practices
Traveling the district to fill pharmacist shifts as scheduled
Supporting prescription fulfillment and directing pharmacy team
Assumes Pharmacy Manager’s duties as needed
Contributing to patient experiences by demonstrating care, resolving medication issues, and collaborating with healthcare teams
Offering and delivering immunizations
Managing pharmacy inventory, focusing on cold chain products
Staying flexible with schedule and team dynamics
Maintaining technical and clinical skills through ongoing learning
Delivering pharmacist-driven clinical care
Ensuring compliance with laws, regulations, and CVS Health policies.

Requirements:

Active Pharmacist License in the state where the Store is located
Active National Provider Identifier (NPI)
Not on the DEA Excluded Parties list
Ability to travel within a reasonable radius to support market staffing as business needs require
Regular and predictable attendance, including nights and weekends
Ability to complete required training within designated timeframe
Attention and focus, including task concentration, quick task pivoting, and prescription accuracy
Customer service and team orientation
Strong communication skills, verbal and written
Mathematical reasoning for solving prescription-related calculations
Problem resolution skills
Physical mobility for extended periods and light lifting up to 20 lbs.

Nice to have:

1-2 years of related work experience in a pharmacy, retail, medical, or customer service setting
