Job Description:

The EHS Associate will support the EHS Manager and plant management in addressing environmental, health, and safety challenges, ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements and global policies, and implementing systems like internal audits and training. The role involves managing risks, addressing hazards, conducting risk assessments, and using digital tools for EHS requirements.

Job Responsibility:

Support the EHS Manager and plant management in understanding the business risk associated with EHS and implement activities to manage these risks
Implement systems to ensure EHS requirements are continuously aligned to requirements e.g., internal audits, procedural updates and training
Development of technical solutions to address EHS challenges
Implement, train and coordinate the activities of the plant related to EHS matters, that is but not limited to, emergency response team to intervene during emergencies that could impact the business, safe system of work
Proactively identify potential EHS hazards through risk assessments, Gemba walks, inspections, and drive timely corrective actions
Address EHS deficiencies within legislative, Baxter global policies, ISO14001 and ISO45001 frameworks
Use of digital tools to manage EHS requirements.

Requirements:

Knowledge of EHS regulations
Self-motivated, strong interpersonal and negotiation skills
Ability to manage multiple tasks in a manufacturing plant setting
Critical thinking and problem-solving skills
Bachelor’s degree in occupational health and safety or related field
2 years of experience
Experience in a manufacturing environment would be considered as an asset.
