Job Description:

We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Employment Litigation Associate to join a CA-based law firm with multiple offices around the state. You will play a key role in all aspects of employment litigation matters, from pre-trial discovery to trial or arbitration. This is a great opportunity for an associate attorney with a strong work ethic and a passion for advocating for clients in the area of employment law.

Job Responsibility:

Conduct legal research on complex employment law issues
Draft and prepare motions, pleadings, and legal memoranda
Take and defend depositions, or at minimum, assist with deposition preparation and strategy
Manage all aspects of discovery, including document requests, interrogatories, and witness subpoenas
Draft position statements for administrative agencies like the EEOC and DFEH
Conduct witness interviews and depositions
Participate in mediations, arbitrations, and trials (as applicable)
Stay up-to-date on current developments in employment law

Requirements:

J.D. degree from an accredited law school
Minimum 2 years of experience in employment litigation in CA
Strong legal research and writing skills
Proficient in legal case management software

Nice to have:

Experience with taking and defending depositions
Experience with FLSA and wage and hour claims, including class and collective actions
Experience with discrimination, harassment, and retaliation claims
