Job Description:

A supportive and inclusive SEN school in Soham is seeking a qualified English Teacher to join their team. The position is term-time only (39 weeks including 5 inset days) and permanent. Responsibilities include developing and implementing creative lesson plans, working collaboratively with a multi-disciplinary team, promoting student well-being, and celebrating their achievements.

Job Responsibility:

Develop and implement engaging and creative lesson plans to meet the diverse needs of your students
Work alongside a multi-disciplinary team, contributing to the development of our curriculum and shaping learning experiences
Create a positive and safe learning environment where students feel valued, respected, and empowered
Support and encourage students to reach their full potential, celebrating their achievements and fostering their confidence

Requirements:

Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) required
Experience teaching English at KS3 and above, with the ability to deliver basic skills in other subjects
Strong classroom management skills with the ability to maintain a disciplined yet nurturing environment
Excellent planning and organisational skills to create engaging and differentiated lessons
Ability to assess student progress effectively and provide constructive feedback
Strong communication skills to engage with students, parents, and colleagues
A commitment to safeguarding, equal opportunities, and promoting student well-being
Willingness to contribute to the wider school community and participate in extracurricular activities
Ability to work collaboratively within a team and support the school's ethos and policies
