Job Description:

This role involves providing crucial support to the Investment Accounting team, working closely with Asset Management, Treasury, and Corporate Accounting to ensure accurate and efficient operations.

Job Responsibility:

Accurately and efficiently process property operations workflow to facilitate payment of invoices and maintain accurate general ledger coding
Perform regular bank reconciliations, and gain exposure to complex financial transactions
Ensure timely and precise monthly accruals for a portfolio of investments, and perform related financial analysis, including classifying balance sheet items
Collaborate with the lease administration team to guarantee accurate property lease setup and assist with budget to actual variance commentary on rental income
Work with the Asset Management and Property Management teams to review accounts receivable detail and ensure all income is billed in accordance with lease terms
Gain exposure to percentage rent and annual reconciliations of recovery items
Collaborate with the Investment Accounting leadership team and Asset Management team members on the budgeting and reforecasting process for all properties

Requirements:

Degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field
Familiarity with GAAP Accounting and US GAAP
Knowledge of Real Estate Accounting and Property Accounting is beneficial
Proficiency in using Yardi software is desirable
Proficiency in Microsoft Excel is essential
No previous work experience is required
Strong attention to detail and a high level of accuracy in all work
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills are required
Ability to work in a team and contribute to achieving team goals
Ability to handle multiple tasks and meet deadlines consistently
Strong analytical skills and ability to interpret financial data effectively

Nice to have:

Knowledge of Real Estate Accounting and Property Accounting
Proficiency in using Yardi software
