Job Description:

Entry Level Diesel Mechanic role that provides paid training and certification through Cox Automotive's FleeTec Academy. Includes classroom and hands-on training, a career path to become a Mobile Diesel Mechanic, and state-of-the-art equipment for job duties. Offers competitive pay rates and comprehensive benefits.

Job Responsibility:

Perform vehicle repairs at customers' locations
Conduct preventative maintenance and general repairs onsite
Attend classroom training and hands-on technician training
Develop skills through classroom study periodically in multi-year program

Requirements:

Desire to start a career as a Diesel & Trailer Technician and become one of our Mobile Mechanics
Willingness and ability to study hard
Dedicate four (4) weeks away from home to be with us
Maturity level to focus on the task at hand
Technical aptitude and a passion for fixing vehicles
Ability to operate iPad
A High-School Diploma or equivalent combination of education is preferred, but not required
Background checks, driving records checks, pre-employment drug testing and physical required
Must pass DOT-regulated pre-employment background screening and DOT physical prior to employment
Valid DOT medical card with more than four (4) months of validity may be submitted in lieu of a DOT physical
Candidates must be at least 21 years or older due to interstate operating authority commerce regulations
Safe drivers needed and 3 YR MVR review required
Must hold a valid state-of-residence driver's license and maintain Driver Qualification File
Active Military Duty separations welcomed
