Job Description:

The Environmental, Social and Governance (ESG) Controller is a senior level position responsible for the generation, analysis and submission of ESG reports in coordination with the wider Finance team. The overall objective of this role is to lead the strategy, implementation and maintenance of core solutions required to support the wider teams responsibilities related to regulatory and voluntary ESG Disclosures.

Job Responsibility:

Define ESG reporting solution strategies
Lead ESG controllers for technology solution strategies, project planning, and project management
Lead third-party vendor engagements
Define and own business requirements for ESG report technology solutions
Lead user acceptance testing
Manage ongoing set-up and maintenance of technology solutions
Support regional controller teams
Work with ESG and local Controllers to create and implement automated disclosure controls
Ensure data sources used in reporting ESG disclosures are strategic
Keep current on evolving disclosure trends
Ensure ESG disclosure requirements are properly vetted and implemented
Support senior leaders in understanding ESG disclosures

Requirements:

Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Business or related field
Masters and/or CPA preferred
12+ years of relevant experience within the financial services industry or Big 4
Subject matter expert on ESG disclosures
Exposure to ESG Reporting solutions like Workiva, Watershed, IBM, Salesforce, etc.
Strong project management skills
Demonstrated knowledge of existing ESG regulatory reporting ISSB, SASB, CSRD, CSDDD, EU Taxonomy, etc.
Good knowledge of financial services and banking business
Good command of spoken and written English
Strong Microsoft Office skills
