Job Description:

The Estimator will play a crucial role in our construction company, with primary responsibilities including estimating the material and manpower required for commercial projects, ordering materials, working with General Contractors, and maintaining detail-oriented relationships with multiple General Contractors and customers.

Job Responsibility:

Interpret blueprints to estimate the material and manpower required for proposed jobs
Order and schedule material deliveries to ensure projects run smoothly and efficiently
Maintain and develop detail-oriented relationships with General Contractors and customers
Conduct walk-throughs on sites and provide accurate bids accordingly
Update proposals with any changes and manage submittals to maintain organization
Update cost projections for the project, staying aware of their status, challenges, and needs
Ensure the job remains on schedule and/or under budget
Assist with manpower scheduling
Communicate effectively with customers and field personnel
Have a comprehensive understanding of drywall and acoustical materials

Requirements:

Minimum of three years of experience as an Estimator or in a related role
Proficiency in Billing and Data Entry
Experience with Invoice Processing
Strong skills in Microsoft Excel
Knowledge of Construction Estimating
Experience as a Construction Estimator is highly desirable
