Job Responsibility:

Accurately analyse project documentation to prepare detailed cost estimates
Conduct thorough quantity takeoffs and material assessments
Evaluate subcontractor and vendor quotes to ensure competitive pricing
Develop detailed cost breakdowns and proposals
Maintain meticulous records of estimate data
Identify and mitigate potential project cost risks
Collaborate effectively with project managers and engineers
Stay abreast of industry trends and best practices
Participate in pre-bid meetings and site visits

Requirements:

Extensive experience in estimating within the construction materials industry
A proven track record of accurate cost estimation
Proficiency with relevant estimating software and industry practices
Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities
Exceptional attention to detail and accuracy
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
The ability to work independently and as part of a team
A relevant degree or certification is highly regarded
A solid understanding of industry codes and regulations
