Job Description:

The Events Coordinator will process reservation requests, changes, and cancellations, identify guest needs, verify room availability, and follow sales techniques to maximize revenue. The role involves communicating with guests and other departments, maintaining accurate room blocks, and setting up billing accounts. The position requires a high school diploma or equivalent and at least one year of related work experience.

Job Responsibility:

Process all reservation requests, changes, and cancellations
Identify guest reservation needs
Verify availability of room type and rate
Explain guarantee, special rate, and cancellation policies
Accommodate and document special requests
Answer questions about property facilities/services and room accommodations
Follow sales techniques to maximize revenue
Communicate information regarding designated VIP reservations
Input and access data in reservation system
Respond to challenges for accommodating rooming requests
Oversee accuracy of room blocks and reservations
Input group rooming lists
Set-up proper billing accounts

Requirements:

High school diploma or G.E.D. equivalent
At least 1 year of related work experience
No supervisory experience
No license or certification required
