The Executive Director, DC Operations role is responsible for the Kansas City distribution center. The position includes oversight of operational strategies, talent development, pharmacy compliance, and P&L management while driving innovation and continuous improvement across processes.
Job Responsibility:
Develop and execute a comprehensive short and long-term strategy for the assigned DC(s)
Optimize facility product flow and building capacity
Ensure appropriate floor presence, engaging with colleagues and front-line leaders
Ensure strong communication channels throughout all levels of leadership
Take ownership for talent management processes to grow, develop, and retain talent
Oversight and accountability for pharmacy operation within DC(s)
Full P&L responsibility for DC of oversight
Ensure timely, secure, accurate deliveries of DC products/services
Partner with HR support resources to achieve staffing targets
Develop the capabilities of direct reports to take on progressively higher levels of responsibility
Develop external and internal networks that support a pipeline of talent for the DC
Drive continuous improvement initiatives and change management strategies.
Requirements:
12+ years leadership experience in a distribution, warehouse, retail, or manufacturing environment
8+ years leading exempt level direct reports
5+ years’ experience implementing LEAN principles
3+ years’ experience with 5S
3+ years’ experience in Supply Chain, Logistics, and Inventory Management
Experience leading a site or location with 300 or more non-exempt employees
Proven ability to drive culture and results
Experience developing talent at multiple levels
Ability to think and act strategically
Experience managing federal and state laws to ensure compliance in the operation
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Excellent time management
Able to drive significant, strategic projects to completion independently
Ability to partner with all levels of management in a cross-functional team environment
