Job Description:

We are hiring a Contract-to-permanent Bankruptcy and Litigation Paralegal to join our accomplished legal team in Downtown Austin, TX. As a trusted paralegal in the firm, you will manage critical aspects of bankruptcy files, elevate case preparation, and support complex litigation teams with precision and efficiency. This is a hybrid opportunity to showcase your skills, grow professionally, and potentially transition into a permanent role with the firm.

Job Responsibility:

Assist with the preparation and filing of Chapter 7, Chapter 11, and Chapter 13 bankruptcy cases
Draft pleadings, document requests, discovery responses, and correspondence
Ensure the accurate filing of court documents and manage trial preparation materials
Conduct detailed reviews of legal documents, contracts, and case-related paperwork
Maintain professional engagement with clients
Utilize legal practice software to organize files, track deadlines, and manage workflow

Requirements:

5+ years of paralegal experience with a clear specialization in bankruptcy and litigation
Paralegal certification or equivalent education highly preferred
Substantive knowledge of federal and state litigation procedures
Attention to detail
Proficiency with legal research databases (e.g., Westlaw, Nexis) and case management tools
Experience with AI-based tools or openness to AI adoption a bonus
