Job Description:
An opportunity has arisen for an experienced Procurement Professional to join a dynamic and fast-paced team. The position involves managing multiple commodities, working closely with suppliers and category managers in both the UK and internationally, along with exposure to large-scale projects and involvement in multiple facilities. This role is ideal for someone analytical and proactive, seeking long-term career opportunities.
Job Responsibility:
  • Manage procurement activities across multiple commodities, ensuring cost efficiency and timely supply
  • develop and maintain strong relationships with suppliers and internal stakeholders
  • collaborate with Accounts Payable to resolve cost and payment issues
  • utilize SAP S/4HANA and Workday for procurement operations and reporting
  • perform data analysis using Microsoft Excel to support procurement decisions
  • prepare reports and presentations using Microsoft PowerPoint
  • identify and implement process improvements to enhance efficiency and cost savings
  • operate effectively in a highly dynamic, aftermarket environment, responding to changing priorities
Requirements:
  • Procurement or purchasing experience within manufacturing, food, clothing, or any structured purchasing environment
  • strong communication and negotiation skills, with the ability to build and maintain effective supplier relationships
  • advanced Microsoft Excel skills, including experience with pivot tables and formulas
  • analytical mindset with the ability to evaluate data and make informed procurement decisions
  • highly adaptable, able to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced setting
  • proactive and self-motivated, with the ability to work both independently and as part of a team
Nice to have:
  • Experience with SAP S/4HANA
  • experience with Workday
  • ability to use Microsoft PowerPoint to prepare reports and presentations
