Job Description:

A well-established and growing law firm is looking for a Family Paralegal to join its busy and supportive team. This is a fantastic opportunity to gain hands-on experience in a broad range of family law matters, working closely with experienced solicitors and developing your legal career in a collaborative and client-focused environment.

Job Responsibility:

Assisting solicitors with a varied caseload of family law matters, including: Divorce and separation
Financial settlements
Child arrangements
Domestic abuse cases
Drafting legal documents, court applications, and correspondence
Liaising with clients, courts, barristers, and external agencies
Managing Legal Aid applications and ensuring compliance with CCMS
Attending client meetings, court hearings, and mediation sessions where required
Providing general administrative and case management support to the team

Requirements:

Previous experience working as a Family Paralegal or in a legal support role within family law
A strong understanding of family law procedures, including Legal Aid processes
Excellent organisation and time management skills, with the ability to prioritise workload effectively
Strong written and verbal communication skills, with a professional and empathetic approach to client care
Proficiency in IT and case management systems
A proactive and team-oriented mindset, with a willingness to learn and develop within the role
