The Associate, Field Service II’s primary responsibility is to perform complex repair work on all customer and company-owned medical equipment. Additionally, the FSII is responsible for product readiness for patient utilization on a wide range of rental and customer-owned medical products. This role includes direct customer contact, operating a fleet vehicle, and providing 24/7 support for products in service centers and customer accounts.

Operate a fleet vehicle in a safe manner
Provide 24/7 delivery, removal, and service support for products in service centers and customer accounts in a timely and professional manner
Attend monthly safety meetings
Demonstrate a proactive approach to safety awareness and compliance
Complete all required safety and compliance learning modules
Complete medical testing
Sustain a clean and safe work environment
Safely operate a fleet vehicle ranging in size from a cargo van up to a 26000 pound truck
Correct safety concerns
Lift and carry up to 65 pounds
Apply manufacturer service manuals and documentation for advanced troubleshooting
Prepare written estimates for repairs
Use of sophisticated test equipment for assigned products
Generate service revenue under service contract
Perform routine cleaning & maintenance procedures on various medical products
Perform pre-installation maintenance, preventive maintenance, and between-patient inspection and modification procedures
Visually, audibly, and manually inspect products for issues
Apply appropriate tools for necessary adjustments and repairs
Supervise readings of electronic meters and gauges
Perform housekeeping duties
Load, unload, deliver, and remove medical products
Move and maneuver Baxter products within service centers, healthcare facilities, and private homes
Secure medical products within truck beds
Provide on-call coverage including weekends and holidays
Adapt to evolving daily schedules
Plan and coordinate effectively to satisfy customer demands
Endure high levels of stress caused by customer demands, scheduling conflicts, driving conditions, and other factors
Complete written documents for internal, regulatory, and project documentation
Read and comprehend technical bulletins
Navigate electronic devices to obtain and enter information
Conduct effective oral presentations of information to customers and coworkers
Conduct in-services training sessions to hospital staff and caregivers
Conduct product demonstrations
Participate in team meetings
Provide feedback of field activities
Cross-train coworkers for service center and field functions
Requirements:
High School Diploma or GED required
Applicable technical or trade school training preferred
2+ years working with medical devices in a hands-on environment required
Experience working with FDA-supervised products preferred
Previous driving/delivery experience preferred
Adapts to new technologies and becomes comfortable with the Microsoft Office Suite of products
Valid driver’s license and driving record that meets company and state requirement
Ability to acquire and maintain a DOT physical card required
Schedule flexibility/on-call
Occasional overnight travel may be required
Occasional overtime required
Good written and verbal communication skills
Ability to work independently
Ability to lead time effectively
Ability to resolve conflict
Ability to read, comprehend, interpret, analyze, and apply technical information including but not limited to technical manuals, technical bulletins, schematics, etc
Optimally present information both verbal and written in one-on-one and small group situations to customers, clients, and other employees of the organization
Basic mathematical skills related to calculating/analyzing weights and measures, volume, distance, etc.
