Job Responsibility:
Lead financial planning, budgeting, and forecasting processes to support business growth
Monitor financial performance and provide insightful analysis to senior management
Prepare accurate financial reports, including profit and loss statements, balance sheets, and cash flow analysis
Develop and implement financial controls, policies, and procedures in line with UK accounting standards
Ensure compliance with UK tax regulations, VAT, and other statutory requirements
Collaborate with operational teams to manage costs and enhance financial efficiency
Liaise with external accountants and regulatory bodies as needed
Identify risks and opportunities within the business, offering recommendations for improvement
Support the implementation of financial systems and processes for enhanced reporting and operational effectiveness
Manage and develop the finance team, fostering a culture of continuous improvement and professional growth
Requirements:
ACA, ACCA, CIMA, or equivalent finance qualification
Minimum 5 years in a finance role, with at least 2 years in a managerial capacity within the retail or e-commerce sector
Strong understanding of financial reporting, UK accounting standards, tax regulations, and financial modelling
Ability to translate financial insights into strategic business decisions
Proficiency in financial software (e.g., SAP, Oracle) and advanced Excel skills
Strong team management skills with the ability to mentor and develop finance professionals
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to influence stakeholders at all levels
High level of accuracy and analytical skills with a proactive problem-solving approach
What we offer:
Competitive salary: £50,000 - £60,000, depending on experience
