Job Description:

Our partner operates Europe's largest and most efficient bioethanol plant and is actively diversifying into new product streams using grain-based biotechnology. The successful candidate for this role will lead the Finance function, reporting directly to the local CEO and to the Group Finance Director, with crucial responsibilities over finance, accounting, forecasting, budgeting, tax, and treasury operations.

Job Responsibility:

  • Working closely together with the CEO and Group Finance Director
  • Reporting to the CEO and Group Finance Director
  • Acting as a business partner in decision making cases
  • Building and improving financial processes
  • Ownership for external statutory reporting, management reporting, forecasting, budgeting, treasury operations, tax strategy, indirect procurement, compliance coordination and financial control
  • Ownership for the development and implementation of accounting policies, coordination of systems and procedures, and the preparation of interim and year-end financial statements
  • Accountable for the maintenance of the company's system of accounts and for keeping books and records on all company transactions and assets including the single entity audit process
  • Risk management
  • Overall operational responsibility for debt management, cash forecasting and bank account management
  • Responsibility for FX and Interest Rate risk management and implementation
  • Being the primary finance/treasury contact for banks and other relevant authorities and institutions
  • Overseeing treasury related statutory, regulatory and management reporting in line with external and internal policy requirements – compliance with bank covenants and local stock exchange requirements relating to our bond
  • Working closely with the GFD and business functions to implement entity-level policies, stress testing and optimizing in-country balances, liquidity, and funds available based on operational & capital investment requirements
  • Identifying & deploying operational process efficiency improvements to support growth and help improve the company’s cash flow and reduce bank fees
  • Supporting the company’s FX hedging program (analysis of FX exposures, execute trades, reporting, hedge accounting etc.) to mitigate cash flow and FX exposures
  • Leading special treasury projects, such as optimizing the existing cash management system to automate more processes and reduce manual error, improving banking infrastructure optimization etc.
  • Overseeing indirect procurement process, ensuring the adequacy of approval and purchase policies, negotiation of contracts, payment terms and monitoring of supplier service quality
  • Providing strategy for tax matters and working together with tax advisors
  • Managing yearly audits and the connection with audit partners
  • Leading process improvement and system implementation projects
  • Leading the implementation of new financial systems, processes and controls
  • Keeping contact with internal departments and clients.

Requirements:

  • 10 years of experience in Finance / Accounting or related field
  • Knowledge in HAS and IFRS
  • Strong people management and leadership skills
  • Experience in manufacturing environment
  • Strong product costing and cost management expertise
  • Experience with building financial processes
  • Excellent organizational skills
  • Strong client focus and negotiation skills
  • Strong Excel/financial modelling skills
  • Strong ERP skills
  • Fluent English.
