Job Description:

This role will provide Software Asset Management “SAM” support to the Global Technology Procurement & Asset Management team. The ideal candidate will have experience in managing and analyzing large volumes of enterprise level data, including data from conversions, acquisitions, and integrations with a high level of reliability.

Job Responsibility:

Proactively monitors, enforces, and updates the workforce technology hardware and software standards to meet business requirements and evolving needs
Maintains asset information in the asset management tool, including product models, discovery models, product contracts and software entitlements defined within the scope of their area
Tracks, monitors, and analyzes asset data for utilization, deployment, and reconciliation to drive compliance and cost savings
Supports analytical activities related to workforce technology sourcing and renewals, including developing moderately complex financial models to help leadership make informed business decisions
Applies data management best practices to cleanse, process, document, validate and report asset management data
Responsible for developing and distributing regular reports in Excel and PowerPoint to Global Technology Procurement leadership
Leverages data to identify and surface opportunities to reduce costs, reduce risks, and/or improve operational efficiencies
Assists with presentation development for executive audiences
Establishes and maintains effective relationships with internal stakeholders and vendors
Enables self-service for employees procuring workforce technology assets through Marriott’s established procurement process
Performs other analyses as required
Support data analytics and maintenance required to sustain and mature Marriott’s software asset management program
Serve as SAM data normalization specialist, to ensure the data is integrated into the CMDB from other sources is commercially viable
Assist with SAM maturation project management and implementation
Assist in asset management life-cycle activities, from acquisition through retirement/disposal: Proactively tracks and manages certain software in the asset management tool, including license costs, counts, usage, and forecasts
Reconciles installed software vs. licensed entitlements and remediates software non-compliance by initiating removals or additional purchases based on needs
Performs process governance through monitoring, measuring, and reporting on asset Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) to internal stakeholders
Establishes SAM Lifecycle process based on recommendations and industry best practices
Create metrics dashboard for GTP

Requirements:

Minimum of 3 years relevant work experience including complex data analysis and financial modeling or equivalent work experience
Previous Service Now Software Asset Management experience preferred
Knowledge of Bigfix, Maark & WorkspaceOne or other discovery tools
Knowledge of ServiceNow and Flexera or other asset management tools
Strong excel spreadsheet skills, word processing, and presentation software skills
Ability to organize and interpret complex, detailed asset management information and present analytical results in manner appropriate for senior management decision-making (both orally and in writing, in memos or presentation format)
Capable of extracting, interpreting, and manipulating database table structures
Ability to manage multiple projects, and work both independently and as part of a team
Excellent interpersonal skills

Ability to collaborate with others and to work effectively in a team environment
Strong communication skills, creating an environment allowing timely information flows throughout the organization
Strong organizational skills with an attention to detail
Ability to translate analytical results to simple terms
Ability to concurrently navigate multiple tools sets and systems
Bachelor’s Degree required or equivalent experience
ITIL certification(s,) CSAM and/or ServiceNow Certification(s) a plus
