Job Description:

As a Floor Supervisor at The Portman Ritz-Carlton Shanghai, you will ensure rooms and public areas meet quality standards, manage housekeeping activities, and deliver excellent guest service. You will uphold The Ritz-Carlton brand through attention to detail, teamwork, and a commitment to the Gold Standards.

Job Responsibility:

Inspect guest rooms, public areas, and pools after cleaning to ensure quality standards
run sold room reports and verify room statuses
prioritize room cleaning and update status of guest rooms
assist Housekeeping management in daily activities
coordinate efforts of Housekeeping, Engineering, Front Office, and Laundry
document and resolve issues with discrepant rooms
prepare, distribute, and communicate changes in room assignments
assist management in hiring, training, scheduling, and motivating employees
follow company safety and security policies and procedures
assist employees with disabilities
ensure quality expectations and standards adherence
move, lift, carry, and place objects
communicate issues to the next shift
complete required paperwork.

Requirements:

High school diploma or G.E.D. equivalent
at least 1 year of related work experience
at least 1 year of supervisory experience
ability to lift and carry objects weighing less than or equal to 55 pounds without assistance and in excess of 55 pounds with assistance
ability to push and pull a loaded housekeeping cart over sloping and uneven surfaces
ability to stand, sit, kneel, or walk for an extended period across an entire work shift
ability to grasp, turn, and manipulate objects of varying size and weight, requiring fine motor skills and hand-eye coordination
ability to read and visually verify information in various formats.
