As a Non-US Accredited Foreign Pharmacy Graduate, you will complete an internship under the supervision of a licensed pharmacist to prepare for licensure in the United States. Responsibilities include delivering safe retail pharmacy practices, supporting patient care programs, and gaining skills in leadership, customer service, and pharmacy operations. The role offers a working environment focused on continuous improvement in healthcare.
Job Responsibility:
Display empathy and compassion for patients, customers, caregivers, and colleagues
support pharmacy manager in motivating, inspiring, and developing pharmacy support staff
identify critical business opportunities and solutions to drive growth and improve performance
adapt to change and thrive in a community healthcare setting
create a 'team' culture promoting caring, energy, enthusiasm, and pride
facilitate adoption and management of patient care programs
maintain customer/patient confidentiality according to HIPAA and company standards
process prescriptions including translation of SIG codes, product selection, counting and measuring drugs
resolve third-party rejections
assist with inventory management
deliver additional health care services as allowable by state regulations
support pharmacy workflow standards.
Requirements:
High School Diploma or General Equivalent Development (GED)
Doctorate (PharmD) or equivalent Pharmacist degree from a Non-US accredited school of pharmacy
active Pharmacy Intern license in state where district is located
eligibility to immunize
0 to 3 years of prior related work experience (preferred: 3 to 5 years)
strong communication and presentation skills
proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Outlook, Excel, Word, PowerPoint, etc.)
ability to complete required training and obtain licensure
ability to lift and exert up to 20 lbs. of force occasionally, up to 10 lbs. of force frequently, and negligible force regularly to move objects.
