Job Description:

A respected company in Encinitas, CA, is seeking a detail-oriented and self-motivated Full Charge Bookkeeper to oversee their accounting operations. This role is perfect for someone who thrives in a fast-paced environment and enjoys handling the full spectrum of bookkeeping responsibilities while collaborating with leadership.

Job Responsibility:

Manage all bookkeeping functions, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, and payroll processing
reconcile bank accounts and credit card statements monthly
prepare accurate financial statements, profit and loss summaries, and balance sheets on a monthly basis
maintain the general ledger
collaborate with external CPAs for tax preparation
ensure compliance with state and federal regulations

Requirements:

Associate or Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance
certification in bookkeeping (e.g., CB or CPB) highly desirable
minimum of 3–5 years of full-charge bookkeeping experience
advanced knowledge of QuickBooks (Desktop or Online)
proficiency in Excel
familiarity with payroll software
strong understanding of GAAP and best practices in small business accounting
highly detail-oriented, organized, and capable of managing multiple priorities effectively
excellent communication skills, both verbal and written

Nice to have:

certification in bookkeeping (e.g., CB or CPB)
experience in a small to mid-size organization
