Job Description:

The aim of the project is to create a modernized library website from scratch and meet the needs of both library staff and patrons. This brand-new platform will revolutionize the way users find and access relevant content, resources, and services, supporting their education, research, and teaching endeavors. The key focus of the project is to implement advanced search functionalities, including semantic search, to enhance the discoverability and accessibility of library materials.

Job Responsibility:

Create a modernized library website from scratch
Implement advanced search functionalities, including semantic search
Enhance the discoverability and accessibility of library materials

Requirements:

3+ years of software engineering experience
Very good knowledge of PHP and the Laravel framework
Good knowledge of React
Proficiency in front-end languages: JavaScript, JQuery and HTML
Good knowledge of SQL, experience in working with databases
Ability to use Git or SVN version control system
