Job Description:

Randstad Digital is currently working with one of Queensland’s largest employers to find a Functional Analyst to join their team on a contract for 24 months, with the view to extend. This position is responsible for understanding business processes, gathering and analysing requirements, and ensuring that solutions within the Microsoft Power Platform and Dynamics 365 ecosystem align with organisational objectives.

Job Responsibility:

  • Requirement Gathering and Analysis: Work closely with business stakeholders to elicit, document, and analyse requirements, ensuring alignment with strategic goals and system capabilities
  • Process Mapping: Collaborate with teams to map current business processes and recommend improvements that leverage the Power Platform and Dynamics 365
  • Solution Design: Translate business needs into functional specifications and work with developers and architects to design robust, scalable solutions
  • Stakeholder Engagement: Act as the primary liaison between technical teams and business units, facilitating clear communication and understanding
  • Testing and Validation: Support system testing and user acceptance testing (UAT) by ensuring test cases are aligned with functional requirements and baseline documentation
  • Documentation: Maintain comprehensive documentation of requirements, workflows, and system changes to support ongoing operations and future projects
  • Continuous Improvement: Proactively identify opportunities to optimise processes and enhance the user experience within the Power Platform ecosystem.

Requirements:

  • Experience in a Functional Analyst or similar role, preferably within an enterprise IT environment
  • Power Platform and Dynamics 365 Knowledge: Familiarity with Microsoft Power Platform and Dynamics 365, including an understanding of capabilities, constraints, and best practices
  • Stakeholder Management: Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with both technical teams and business stakeholders
  • Problem-Solving Skills: Analytical mindset with the ability to identify issues, propose solutions, and drive implementation
  • Attention to Detail: Strong focus on accuracy and thoroughness in documentation and solution design
  • Adaptability: Ability to work across multiple projects and adjust to changing priorities in a dynamic environment
  • Familiarity with Agile/Scrum methodologies is an advantage
  • Knowledge of governance, security, and compliance considerations within enterprise platforms is desirable.
