Job Description:

Randstad SSC is the Randstad area specialized in Shared service centers. Our client is a multinational company, leader in its sector and they are recruiting a General Ledger Specialist. The role involves analyzing financial data, performing financial closing activities, ensuring compliance with US GAAP, supporting audits, and other accounting duties.

Job Responsibility:

Analyse financial data to ensure accurate revenue recognition according to corporate policies
Perform month-end, quarter-end, and year-end financial closing activities
Examine documentation supporting revenue recognition in terms of compliance with US GAAP and internal guidelines (RRC)
Monitor and analyse revenue streams to identify trends and variances
Monthly reporting to Corporate
Perform balance sheet account reconciliations and SOX controls
Support audits and other business queries
Perform other duties as required.

Requirements:

Bachelor Degree in Accounting or Finance/ ACCA
Minimum 2 years of General Ledger/ AR work experience involving US GAAP
Communicate effectively and professionally in English (written and oral), other foreign language would be an asset (preferably French/Italian)
Advanced computer proficiency with SAP ERP or Microsoft Dynamics Navision and MS Office Suite including Excel expertise
Demonstrated ability to work on and own initiatives while also collaborating within a team
Assess situations to determine the importance, urgency, and risks, then make clear and timely decisions
Proactive with the ability to manage time-dependent critical processes
Strong understanding of controls required within an accounting organization
Operates with a high standard of ethics, integrity, and professionalism.
