We are seeking a dynamic and hands-on General Manager to lead the Four Points by Sheraton Charlotte - Lake Norman, a 101-room hotel in Huntersville, NC. Our hotel offers exceptional service and amenities, including breakfast and dinner service, two meeting spaces, a pool, and a fitness center. The ideal candidate will be an experienced leader who can drive operational excellence, enhance guest satisfaction, and ensure profitability and compliance with Marriott brand standards.
Job Responsibility:
Inspire and motivate staff to deliver outstanding service while fostering a positive work environment
Oversee all hotel operations, including front desk, housekeeping, maintenance, and food & beverage
Recruit, train, and mentor team members, ensuring professional development and accountability
Manage budgeting, forecasting, and financial reporting to ensure operational efficiency and profitability
Perform administrative duties, including payroll processing, invoice tracking, and financial record-keeping via Inn-Flow
Work closely with ownership and provide regular performance updates
Ensure compliance with Marriott brand standards, policies, and procedures
Implement strategies to enhance guest satisfaction and address feedback proactively
Oversee food & beverage operations, ensuring high service quality and adherence to health and safety regulations
Collaborate with the Director of Sales to develop and execute sales and marketing strategies that drive occupancy and revenue
Work with Marriott’s revenue management team to optimize daily rates and maximize revenue
Monitor and analyze market trends to identify growth opportunities
Establish and maintain relationships with local businesses and organizations to promote the hotel
Requirements:
Minimum 3 years of executive management experience at a Marriott hotel required
2+ years of experience with Marriott applications, including Empower GXP, Q-POWER, Guest Voice, and Lightspeed
One Yield certification is a plus
Strong knowledge of Marriott brand standards and operational guidelines
Proven ability to lead, train, and motivate a high-performing team
Experience managing food & beverage operations within a hotel is an asset
Excellent communication, problem-solving, and analytical skills
