Job Description:

Join CSIRO's Mineral Resources Research Unit as a Junior Geophysicist in the Discovery Program and contribute to groundbreaking projects in mineral and groundwater exploration. Work with a world-class team on geophysical data collection, processing, and interpretation, focusing on airborne and ground electromagnetic data for mineral systems and groundwater investigations.

Job Responsibility:

Incorporate novel approaches to scientific investigations
Contribute to the analysis of geophysical data
Undertake research aligned with the goals of the Discovery Program
Communicate effectively and respectfully
Work effectively as an integral member of a multi-disciplinary research team
Lead small research projects and assist with elements of larger projects

Requirements:

Tertiary qualifications (PhD preferred) or equivalent research experience in geophysics with geology
Experience in processing and inversion of ground and airborne electromagnetic data
Experience in the use of EM processing and forward and inversion codes
Ability to work with geospatial software and geodatabases
Excellent written and oral communication skills
