Job Description:

Lead financial and regulatory reporting activities for Germany, covering all legal entities domiciled in the country. Collaborate with regulators and internal teams to ensure governance, compliance, and efficiency in reporting. Drive change, automation, and cooperation across diverse teams.

Job Responsibility:

Oversee financial and regulatory reporting activities for Germany
Lead the Statutory, Financial and Regulatory Reporting team
Ensure timely and accurate financial and regulatory reporting for all entities domiciled in Germany
Maintain strong control, governance, and accurate implementation of local regulatory and statutory reporting requirements
Oversight over the reporting process for internal and external stakeholders, including regulators
Main contact for questions from regulators
Close cooperation with other teams in Citi to maintain and improve country oversight
Cooperate with Capital Planning, Recovery & Resolution Planning, Treasury, Tax, and Planning & Analysis teams
Support CFO/Controller and Management Board with analysis and deliverables
Drive efficiency, automation, and right-placement of reporting activities
Lead Change by developing and implementing solutions for process efficiency

Requirements:

Experience in Finance leadership role in highly regulated entity
Proven leadership skills
Successful track record in executing complex projects and regulatory deliverables
In-depth knowledge of key regulations impacting Finance and regulatory reporting
Experience in dealing with regulators i.e. BaFin, Bundesbank, ECB, SRB as well as external auditors
Exceptionally good analytical and technical skills
Fluent in English in both speech and writing, fluency in German is an advantage
Understanding of US and local accounting principles and regulatory reporting requirements
At minimum Bachelors’ degree from Finance or Accounting
Professional qualifications such as ACA, ACCA, CIMA or equivalent, would be beneficial
