Job Description:

We are seeking a GIS Analyst to join our team in the Government sector located in Boynton Beach, Florida. In this role, you will have the opportunity to utilize your expertise in GIS databases, GIS mapping, and GIS software, among others, to drive our projects and operations. This role offers a contract to permanent employment opportunity.

Job Responsibility:

Accurate operation and maintenance of the Geographical Information System (GIS)
Provide technical leadership and coordination for various GIS projects
Conduct GIS programming and configuration as required
Manage internal GIS projects, including scheduling, coordinating activities, and maintaining project status reports
Creation, maintenance, and updates of GIS databases, ensuring quality control
Conversion of data to/from GIS databases and production of GIS products such as layers, shape files, custom maps, and online web maps
Operation of hand-held GPS data collection devices
Provision of GIS services during emergency activations when required
Offering advice on analysis techniques, best practices, and solutions for high-level analysis problems
Provision of customer support, training, and technical support in GIS operations or related issues
Research and recommendation of new GIS software programs or related technologies, providing technical specifications for purchase

Requirements:

Proficiency in ArcGIS Server
Demonstrated knowledge and experience in GIS
Ability to work with GIS databases
Skilled in GIS mapping techniques
Familiarity with various GIS software
Experience with Arcsde is preferable
Proficiency in Python programming language
Familiarity with SQL Server
Experience with SQL Server is beneficial
Proficiency in Model Building is required
Knowledge and experience in Geodatabase is essential

Nice to have:

Experience with Arcsde
Experience with SQL Server
