Job Description:

Randstad is currently working with a public sector client to find a GIS Spatial Analyst for an initial 6 month contract with potential of extension. This role is based in Brisbane city with WFH flexibility.

Job Responsibility:

Undertake mapping, geographic information systems (GIS), spatial databases, and remote sensing technologies to collect, store, analyze, and present spatial data
Data Collection and Storage
Analysis of spatial data
Visualization to interpret complex information by presenting it in a visual format
Mapping: Create and work with digital maps. These maps can include layers of different kinds of data (e.g., terrain, population density, infrastructure) to support decision-making
Geospatial Decision-Making based on spatial factors, improving efficiency and outcomes

Requirements:

Knowledge of and/or experience using GIS and spatial analysis tools, including ArcGIS Pro and ArcGIS Online or QGIS
Knowledge of and/or experience working with regional ecosystems and related vegetation mapping products and remote sensing imagery
Knowledge of and/or ability to acquire knowledge of bushfire science and its application for land use planning and building decisions
Have excellent written and verbal communication skills, be organized, systematic, thorough, accurate and disciplined
Strong organisational and time management abilities
Knowledge of and/or experience conducting data management and analysis, creating scripted workflows
