Job Description:

The Plant Head will oversee the operations of a plastic extrusion plant, focusing on production management, quality assurance, team leadership, continuous improvement, and communication with stakeholders. The role requires extensive experience in plastic technology and plant operations.

Job Responsibility:

oversee and manage the daily operations of the plastic extrusion plant to ensure efficient and effective processing of extrusion materials
develop and implement production schedules, processes, and resource allocation strategies
monitor and optimize key performance indicators (KPIs) to achieve production targets and operational goals
lead, mentor, and manage plant staff, including supervisors, engineers, and operators
foster a positive and collaborative work environment that encourages high performance and professional growth
conduct performance reviews, provide feedback, and implement training and development programs
ensure all products meet quality standards and specifications
implement and maintain quality control procedures and conduct regular inspections
address and resolve any quality-related issues in a timely manner
identify opportunities for process improvements and implement lean manufacturing principles to enhance efficiency and reduce waste
stay informed about industry trends, advancements in technology, and best practices
lead initiatives to improve plant performance, reduce costs, and increase the overall effectiveness of operations
ensure optimal use of resources and effective management of inventory
report to senior management on plant performance, production metrics, operational issues, and improvement initiatives
maintain effective communication with other departments, stakeholders, and external partners
prepare and present regular reports on plant operations, performance, and strategic objectives

Requirements:

Bachelor’s degree in Environmental Engineering, Chemical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, or a related field/CIPET
proven experience (5+ years) in plant management or operations within the plastic extrusion or waste management industry
strong understanding of plastic processes, quality control, and safety regulations
excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills
demonstrated ability to drive continuous improvement and manage complex projects
knowledge in plastic technology/CIPET for creating recipes for different kinds of PP, HDPE, LDPE material
experience in compounding/masterbatch material
5+ years in lab/operations is MUST
