Job Description:

We are offering an employment opportunity for a Grant Accountant to join our team in the non-profit industry in Los Angeles, California. Your role will involve the administration of various funds, including public and private contracts and grants, to support our projects. You will be involved in everything from budget projections to financial compliance activities. Job Responsibility:

Assist in the development of grant and contract budgets, ensuring compliance with funder requirements
Review, coordinate, and submit applications for fund opportunities
Analyze and evaluate fund proposals for compliance with funding entity requirements
Oversee the processing of awards and contracts across different systems, ensuring compliance with funder terms
Conduct compliance and financial risk assessments and business reviews
Monitor expenditures charges to ensure compliance with the terms of various fund accounts
Carry out post-award financial compliance activities, including payment requests, budget and spend-down plans, and reconciliation
Prepare funder invoicing and drawdown requests
Review and monitor fund performance and financial reporting, identifying issues affecting compliance or progress
Collaborate with team members on grant change requests, including processing amendments
Oversee work and mentor support staff
Ensure compliant close-out of all grant awards
Assist with grant monitoring activities as required
Ensure audit readiness of grant and contract files
Act as audit liaison between projects and external auditors

Requirements:

Proficiency in Abila MIP
Solid understanding of Accounting Software Systems
Prior experience with ADP - Financial Services
Skilled in the creation and optimization of Banner Ads
Familiarity with Bloomberg Terminal
Ability to handle various Accounting Functions effectively and efficiently
Demonstrable experience in Auditing
Knowledge of Budget Processes
Must possess skills in Capital Management
Experience in handling Cash Activity

Nice to have:

Familiarity with Bloomberg Terminal
