Job Description:

The Grant Accountant will primarily be focused on post-award grant management, and routine responsibilities may include reviewing grant contracts for terms & conditions, ensuring grant usage meets organizational compliance requirements, managing grants from state and federal resources, and monitoring budget changes and award extensions.

Job Responsibility:

Reviewing grant contracts for terms & conditions
Ensuring grant usage meets organizational compliance requirements
Managing grants from state and federal resources
Monitoring budget changes and award extensions

Requirements:

Proficiency in various accounting functions including but not limited to accounts payable, accounts receivable, and general ledger management
Demonstrated experience in auditing, with the ability to identify discrepancies and implement corrective measures
Experience in managing cash activity, ensuring accurate record-keeping and timely processing of transactions
Familiarity with fund accounting in a non-profit setting, with the ability to manage restricted and unrestricted funds
Proficiency in grant accounting, including the management of grant budgets and expenditures, and ensuring compliance with grantor guidelines
Experience with month-end close procedures, including the preparation of financial statements and reports
Ability to perform account analysis, identify trends or anomalies, and present findings in a clear and concise manner
