Job Description:

The Groups and Conference Coordinator at AC Hotel by Marriott Cape Town Waterfront is responsible for processing reservation requests, identifying guest needs, and ensuring accurate room blocks and reservations. The role requires attention to detail, excellent communication skills, and the ability to work in a team-oriented environment.

Job Responsibility:

Process all reservation requests, changes, and cancellations
Identify guest reservation needs
Verify availability of room type and rate
Explain guarantee, special rate, and cancellation policies
Accommodate and document special requests
Answer questions about property facilities/services and room accommodations
Follow sales techniques to maximize revenue
Communicate information regarding designated VIP reservations
Input and access data in reservation system
Respond to challenges for accommodating rooming requests
Oversee accuracy of room blocks and reservations
Input group rooming lists
Revise room blocks
Set-up proper billing accounts

Requirements:

High school diploma or G.E.D. equivalent
At least 1 year of related work experience
No supervisory experience
No license or certification required
