Job Description:

We are offering an exciting opportunity for a Healthcare Collections Specialist in Birmingham, Alabama. In this role you will be responsible for managing revenue cycle processes, including collections, and maintaining accounts receivable. This position is based onsite in our Birmingham office.

Job Responsibility:

Execute collection processes to ensure efficient recovery of revenues
Handle insurance claims and manage payer denials effectively
Process and maintain accurate records of patient accounts
Ensure the accuracy of accounts receivable and update as required
Handle customer inquiries and resolve them in a timely manner
Monitor customer accounts and take appropriate actions when necessary
Work closely with other team members to ensure a smooth revenue cycle flow
Utilize SmartCare and Sunwave for various billing and collection activities
Participate in team meetings and discussions to optimize collection processes

Requirements:

Minimum of 1 year of experience in a similar role
Proficiency in Accounts Receivable (AR) management
Solid understanding of Collection Processes
Experience with handling Payer Denials
Knowledge of HealthCare Revenue Cycle
Familiarity with Insurance Claims processes
Ability to manage Patient Accounts effectively
Strong communication and interpersonal skills
Attention to detail and high level of accuracy
Ability to work independently and in a team
Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills
