Job Description:

The company specializes in acquiring, investing in, and commercializing biomedical data assets, which are then sold to the pharmaceutical industry to support drug development. This is a fantastic opportunity for a motivated paralegal to join a high-growth healthcare startup at an early stage and make a meaningful impact.

Job Responsibility:

Manage transactional data assets and assist with corporate transactions
Draft and review contracts related to healthcare and biomedical data
Prepare incorporation and formation documents, including tax-related filings
Ensure compliance with healthcare regulations, HIPAA, Common Rule, and privacy laws
Handle confidential records and sensitive business information with discretion

Requirements:

5+ years of experience as a healthcare paralegal
Strong experience in data transactions
Compliance expertise in HIPAA, Common Rule, and general privacy/regulatory matters
Corporate law experience, including setting up LLCs and new companies
Strong contract drafting, transactional law, and corporate governance skills
Paralegal certificate or bachelor’s degree (or equivalent relevant work experience)
Highly organized, detail-oriented, and adaptable in a fast-paced startup environment
Exceptional written and verbal communication skills
Ability to multitask and handle confidential information with professionalism
