Job Description:

We are offering an opportunity for a skilled Help Desk Technician to join our team in AMES, Iowa, United States. This role will be instrumental in our high-tech engineering industry, where you will be working on a variety of tasks including troubleshooting network issues, handling high-volume data entry, and providing superior customer service. This is a long-term contract position that does not require relocation as it is based in AMES, Iowa.

Job Responsibility:

  • Troubleshoot and resolve a variety of Windows environment issues
  • Assist end-users with networking, IP addresses, routers, hookups, and connectivity problems
  • Provide excellent customer service and respond to inquiries in a timely manner
  • Utilize ticketing systems to track and resolve issues effectively
  • Conduct basic network troubleshooting and maintain network hardware
  • Manage high-volume data entry tasks with accuracy and efficiency
  • Collaborate with team members in a fast-paced, dynamic environment
  • Monitor customer accounts and take appropriate actions when necessary
  • Document all actions and solutions for future reference
  • Contribute to the growth and success of the team by sharing knowledge and skills

Requirements:

  • Proficiency in using a Ticketing System for managing and resolving issues
  • Capability to perform Basic Network Troubleshooting to identify and fix common network problems
  • Familiarity with Network Hardware such as routers, switches, and hubs
  • Competence in Network Troubleshooting, including the ability to diagnose and resolve more complex network issues
  • Ability to perform Computer Data Entry tasks quickly and accurately
  • Experience in Data Entry, demonstrating attention to detail and organizational skills
  • Ability to handle High-Volume Data Entry tasks efficiently without compromising on accuracy or speed
  • Strong Customer Service skills, with a focus on providing helpful and responsive service
  • Track record of providing Superior Customer Service, demonstrating the ability to exceed customer expectations and resolve any issues effectively
