Job Description:

We are offering a long-term contract employment opportunity for a HIM Manager in the healthcare and social assistance industry based in Salinas, California. As a HIM Manager, you will be instrumental in processing and analyzing healthcare data to support our programs, enhance patient outcomes, and aid in strategic decisions.

Job Responsibility:

Collect, manage, and cleanse healthcare data from various sources such as electronic health records (EHRs), patient surveys, and program reports
Perform statistical analyses to identify trends, patterns, and disparities in healthcare delivery and outcomes
Develop and maintain dashboards, reports, and visualizations to communicate data insights to staff, leadership, and stakeholders
Collaborate with program managers and healthcare providers to design and evaluate interventions based on data findings
Ensure data accuracy, integrity, and compliance with HIPAA and other relevant regulations
Support grant writing and reporting by providing data-driven evidence of program impact and community needs
Assist in tracking key performance indicators (KPIs) and outcomes for healthcare initiatives
Stay informed on industry trends, best practices, and emerging tools in healthcare data analysis
Utilize skills in Allscripts, Cerner Technologies, Cl Programming, CMS Platform, and Computer Programs
Handle appeals, auditing, benefit functions, billing functions, and claim administration

Requirements:

Minimum of 3 years of experience in a similar role within the Healthcare, Hospitals, or Social Assistance industry
Proficient in using Allscripts and Cerner Technologies
Strong knowledge of CL Programming
Experience with CMS Platform is required
Ability to use a variety of computer programs effectively
Proven track record in handling appeals
Previous experience in auditing is essential
Familiarity with benefit functions
Proficient in billing functions
Experience in claim administration is a must
