Job Description:

We are seeking an HR Generalist for a long-term contract role within the service industry, located in Valley Center, California, United States. As an HR Generalist, you will be involved in a variety of tasks including handling FMLA leave requests, coordinating workers' compensation claims, overseeing the onboarding process for new hires, managing recruitment cycles, developing safety protocols, maintaining compliance records, and staying current on HR best practices and labor laws.

Job Responsibility:

Administer FMLA leave requests, ensuring strict adherence to federal and state regulations
Manage workers' compensation claims, including documenting and communicating with providers
Oversee the smooth transition of new hires through a comprehensive onboarding process
Handle full-cycle recruiting, from posting job openings to coordinating offers for selected candidates
Develop and implement safety protocols, and conduct regular training to ensure a secure work environment
Monitor and ensure compliance with credentialing and certification requirements for all employees
Keep abreast of the latest labor laws and HR best practices to ensure the organization's compliance

Requirements:

Strong communication skills, both written and verbal
Understanding and implementation of compliance norms
Experience in managing employee relations is a plus
Knowledge of Family and Medical Leave Act (FMLA) regulations
Excellent customer service abilities
Demonstrated expertise in HR compliance
Proven experience in Human Resources (HR) Administration
Ability to conduct new employee orientation sessions
Experience in onboarding new hires
Proven skills in recruiting suitable candidates
Experience in managing terminations effectively
Knowledge of workers compensation laws and procedures

Nice to have:

Experience in managing employee relations is a plus
