Job Description:

Randstad Recruitment has partnered with a Construction Contractor specialising in commercial builds across residential apartment complexes, education facilities, warehousing, and commercial outlets (Valued up to $30M) across the Gold Coast region, and are currently accepting applications for a HSEQ Advisor to join the team on a permanent basis.

Job Responsibility:

Operate with a high degree of autonomy to upkeep WHS policies and procedures
Oversee a volume of varying subcontractors and monitor operations
Liaise and report with members of project management
Support Project and Site Management with the implementation of HSE systems and processes
Ensure the implementation of WHS & Environment protocols to maintain compliance with current legislation
Provide industry expert advice on WHS objectives and strategies to project teams
Provide training and development guidance to on-site teams
Conduct pre-starts and toolbox talks
Promote and champion a strong safety culture within the workplace to improve HSE outcomes
Complete regular on-site inspections, manage risk assessments, and auditing to ensure a safe working environment and reduce potential risks
Investigate WHS incidents and implement appropriate actions to ensure non-recurrence

Requirements:

2+ Years HSEQ Experience
Previous commercial construction industry experience on projects up to $30M
Previous experience with direct involvement of on site safety management
Comprehensive understanding of QLD WHS Legislation
Vocational or Tertiary qualification in Safety (Minimum Cert IV)
Open Driver’s License
General Construction Induction “White Card”
Full Working Rights within Australia
A high degree of Autonomy and Self Motivation
