Job Description:

The Human Resource Generalist will primarily be handling employee relations, labor relations, performance management and recruiting. The HR department does work a hybrid model. You will have the opportunity to learn every position within the department. That is their goal-cross training. This is an important position reporting directly to the Director of Human Resources for a busy plant. The HR Generalist must be degreed. They will also have an opportunity for promotion if they are meeting all their KPI's.

Job Responsibility:

Handle various employee relations matters, ensuring a positive work environment
Manage labor relations, working primarily in a unionized setting
Oversee performance management, providing constructive feedback and implementing necessary changes
Lead recruitment efforts, sourcing and interviewing potential candidates
Administer HR-related tasks and maintain accurate records
Actively participate in cross-training to understand all positions within the department
Monitor and manage employee recognition programs
Conduct investigations related to employee relations when required
Report directly to the Director of Human Resources, assisting in key HR tasks
Strive towards meeting key performance indicators, with opportunities for advancement

Requirements:

5 plus years in a manufacturing environment primarily in a union environment
degreed
proficiency in aspects of Human Resources (HR) Administration
considerable experience in managing Employee Relations
experience in Employee Recognition
experience in conducting Employee Relations Investigations
strong understanding of Labor Employee Relations
