We are offering a long term contract employment opportunity for a Human Resources (HR) Assistant in the local government sector in Baltimore, Maryland. This role involves comprehensive support to our Human Resources department, ensuring smooth and efficient operations. This role is part time, 24 hours weekly, three eight hour days per week.
Job Responsibility:
Overseeing HR supplies and managing filing and scanning processes
Utilizing Excel, Word, and PowerPoint for reporting, documentation, and presentations
Assisting in composing internal communications, HR policies, and employee notices
Utilizing Workday and other HRIS systems for record-keeping, reporting, and employee data management
Supporting new permanent onboarding, benefits enrollment, and overall wellness programs
Planning employee activities to enhance workplace culture
Maintaining compliance with Maryland labor laws, handling I-9 verification, FMLA processing, and assisting with audits
Processing customer credit applications
Maintaining accurate customer credit records
Monitoring customer accounts and taking appropriate action
Requirements:
At least 2 years of experience in a Human Resources role
