Job Description:

Robert Half is seeking a Human Resources Manager in Antioch, CA. The role involves employee relations, talent acquisition, benefits administration, HR compliance, and performance management. The ideal candidate will have a bachelor’s degree in HR or a related field, 3+ years of HR experience, and strong interpersonal skills. Preferred certifications include PHR or SHRM-CP.

Job Responsibility:

  • Serve as the first point of contact for employee inquiries and concerns, providing guidance on HR policies and procedures
  • Address employee relations issues, conducting investigations as necessary, and ensuring compliance with labor laws and organizational policies
  • Foster a positive workplace culture by promoting employee engagement initiatives
  • Collaborate with hiring managers to identify staffing needs, draft job descriptions, and conduct recruitment activities
  • Oversee the recruitment process, including job postings, application reviews, scheduling interviews, and extending job offers
  • Facilitate new hire onboarding, ensuring a seamless transition into the organization
  • Assist employees with benefit enrollment, changes, and understanding available programs
  • Serve as a liaison with benefits providers to resolve employee issues
  • Support the open enrollment process and ensure compliance with benefits-related regulations
  • Maintain compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws and regulations
  • Prepare and maintain employment records in an accurate and timely manner
  • Generate HR reports and metrics as requested by leadership
  • Support the implementation of performance review processes, providing coaching to managers and employees as needed
  • Identify training needs and coordinate learning and development initiatives

Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field
  • 3+ years of relevant HR experience, with exposure to various HR functions or an HR generalist role
  • Strong understanding of HR principles, best practices, and employment laws
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to build effective relationships
  • High levels of confidentiality, integrity, and attention to detail
  • Proficiency in HRIS and Microsoft Office Suite is preferred
  • Proven organizational and time management abilities

Nice to have:

PHR (Professional in Human Resources) or SHRM-CP (Society for Human Resource Management Certified Professional)
