Job Description:

The role involves managing internal financial processes and supporting daily operational accounting activities in a fast-paced environment. The Accountant will play a pivotal role in maintaining accurate financial records and ensuring compliance with company policies.

Job Responsibility:

Oversee and manage the process of sales and revenue reporting, ensuring accuracy and timeliness
Handle accounting related to gift cards, tracking balances, activity, and reporting in line with company policies
Manage collection of W-9 and year-end 1099 reporting to ensure vendor compliance
Reconcile and process COD payments and track alcoholic beverage purchases
Perform regular reconciliations and verification of cash and credit card transactions, ensuring their accuracy and alignment with company records
Conduct reconciliations for various General Ledger accounts, addressing discrepancies and maintaining accurate documentation
Maintain accurate and timely entry of financial data into accounting systems
Support ad hoc tasks and cross-functional projects as needed to ensure the accounting team operates efficiently
Utilization of 'Accounting Software Systems', 'ADP - Financial Services', 'CaseWare', 'Ceridian', and 'Concur' to perform accounting functions
Responsibility for 'Accounts Payable (AP)', 'Accounts Receivable (AR)', 'Accrual Accounting' and 'Auditing' processes

Requirements:

Minimum of 1+ years of experience in an accounting role within the Restaurants & Catering industry
Proficiency in using Accounting Software Systems
Experience with ADP - Financial Services
Familiarity with CaseWare is a plus
Prior experience with Ceridian is beneficial
Knowledge of Concur software is preferred
Ability to handle various Accounting Functions effectively
Experience with Accounts Payable (AP) is necessary
Must have managed Accounts Receivable (AR) in previous roles
Understanding of Accrual Accounting is required
Previous experience in Auditing is advantageous

Nice to have:

Familiarity with CaseWare
Prior experience with Ceridian
Knowledge of Concur software
Previous experience in Auditing
