Job Description:

We are offering a long-term contract employment opportunity for an Intermediate Accountant in the non-profit sector based in Newark, New Jersey. This role involves a range of accounting functions, with a focus on maintaining accurate financial records and resolving accounting inquiries.

Job Responsibility:

Manage and maintain financial records, ensuring accuracy and completeness
Handle both Accounts Payable (AP) and Accounts Receivable (AR) operations
Perform Accrual Accounting tasks as required
Utilize Accounting Software Systems efficiently for financial management
Utilize ADP - Financial Services for payroll and human capital management tasks
Leverage CaseWare for financial reporting and auditing purposes
Use Ceridian for payroll and HR services
Manage expenses and reporting through Concur
Conduct regular audits to ensure financial compliance
Assist in end-of-month responsibilities and general ledger upkeep

Requirements:

Proficiency in Accounting Software Systems
Experience with ADP - Financial Services
Familiarity with CaseWare software
Knowledge of Ceridian payroll system
Able to operate Concur expense management software
Capable of performing all Accounting Functions
Experience in managing Accounts Payable (AP)
Proficient in handling Accounts Receivable (AR)
Understanding of Accrual Accounting principles
Experience in Auditing practices and procedures
